Will Singapore traffic conditions get any better?

Increasing the rate of the Electronic Road Pricing (ERP), erecting more ERP gantries, widening expressways, building more elevated highways, underground tunnels, maintaining exorbitant COE prices, and the availability of real time information on traffic conditions all do not seem to lend much help in the trend of burgeoning vehicle population and the growing demand for road space. Road congestions continue to be pervasive during the rush hours on a daily basis. You might not have to cover vast urban distances like in some countries, but to avoid unnecessary frustrating held-ups, make a point to plan your routes before leaving for your destination!

Before setting off, pray for a smooth ride on the road, no road works, no accidents, no road diversions, no traffic clogging! And stay tuned in to the radio for the regular traffic bulletins to avoid the jams!
