With the rapid expansion of the Singapore Church, Christians in Singapore today comprise about 15% of the country's population. Mostly follow the Protestant denominations and traditions.
In the last decade, mega churches such as City Harvest Church, Faith Community Baptist Church and New Creation Church have been very successful in turning large numbers of youths to Christianity. Contemporary, high impact songs sung and messages preached in these churches ministered well to the needs of the younger generations and account much for the boom in the Christian movement. Christians are allowed the freedom of worship in Singapore.
Most of the churches here also run active missions programs that scatter thousands of missionaries all over the world.
 With the number of Christians on the rise, many churches face the issue of space and location availability to house their growing congregations. |
