Once the residence of Singapore's colonial leaders and a military base in the Second World War, Fort Canning Hill is today a unique city park in the heart of the Civic and Cultural District of Singapore, overlooking busy Orchard Road. It has also become a choice venue for staging many big popular events such as art exhibitions, theatre carnivals, and open-air ballet.
